In contrast, dogs that are only groomed once or twice a year may become fearful or resistant, as the process feels unfamiliar and overwhelming. Regular, positive grooming experiences help ensure your dog views grooming as a normal part of life, rather than something to be feared.

Please note: Puppies must have completed their final vaccinations prior to their first session. Once your puppy reaches 6 months of age, standard grooming pricing will apply.
Each session is adapted to your puppy’s needs and temperament. If your puppy requires more time to adjust, we will work at their pace. Not all tasks may be completed in one session if your puppy needs extra time to feel secure.

Puppy Grooming Introduction Package – Session Breakdown
Our four-session program is carefully structured to help your puppy become confident and comfortable in the grooming environment. Each session builds on the last, ensuring a calm and positive experience at every stage.
Session 1 – From 10 Weeks Old
Introduction & Owner Consultation
This initial session takes place in reception and focuses on creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for both puppy and owner.
- Meet and greet with the groomer
- Discussion of coat type, breed-specific requirements, and desired grooming style (photos are welcome)
- Introduction to basic handling through cuddles, gentle play, and treats to begin forming positive associations with the grooming environment
Session 2 – Salon Familiarisation
Introduction to the Grooming Space and Basic Handling
Your puppy will begin exploring the salon and becoming accustomed to the grooming table.
- Guided exploration of the grooming area
- Gentle comb-through to assess coat condition
- Light trimming of pads and rounding of feet
- Fringe/eye area lightly trimmed for visibility and comfort
Session 3 – First Bath & Basic Grooming
Bathing and Gentle Introduction to Grooming Tools
This session introduces your puppy to water, drying equipment, and essential grooming routines.
- Bath with gentle, puppy-safe products
- Blow dry and thorough comb-through
- Hygiene clip and paw pad trim
- Nail clipping
- Light face tidy and ear cleaning
- Finished with a spritz of natural dog-friendly fragrance
Session 4 – Full Puppy Groom Introduction
Final Session: Confidence & Familiarity Building
The fourth session allows your puppy to experience a full mini groom, tailored to their progress and comfort level.
- Bath and blow dry
- Comb-through and maintenance trim
- Hygiene areas, feet, nails, and facial areas tidied as needed
- Continued positive reinforcement and calm handling throughout
Each session is paced according to your puppy’s needs, with the goal of creating a positive lifelong association with grooming. If your puppy requires additional time or becomes overwhelmed, adjustments will be made to ensure their experience remains stress-free and supportive.
Please note: This program is purchased as a full package and is available for puppies aged 10 weeks to 6 months. All sessions must be completed within this age range to qualify for the package pricing.
